Elytre, a colorful floating building by Yannick Jacquet

After 3 years of development designing and producing 1km of custom made led lights, a cinder application fed by weather sensors, and 824 microperforated ionised sunshield panels, we are pleased to finally present: Elytre, a permanent large-scale generative work by Yannick Jacquet, on display on a floating building moored in central Paris.Inspired by the cycle of the seasons, Elytre is a work in a constant state of flux. Perpetually shaped by a battery of censors that monitor the imperceptible environmental shifts the installation explores our relationship with time, inviting us to slow our daily rhythms and invest in boundless contemplation
