Italian photographer, Anna di Prospero has created a series of daring and unique self-portraits shot against the urban landscape. In the Urban Self-Portrait series, she captures herself in various twisting poses in the midst of irregular architectural forms. She may stand in front of the building or choose to lie somewhere further within, contorting her own body to compliment the lines and curves of the buildings she is in dialog with. While the subject matter has an urban and futuristic feel, it’s eerily devoid of people and elicits a strong sense of solitude.
Of the series, di Prospero said, “I think self-portraits are a good way to examine yourself and your relationships with others. A self-portrait forces you to make questions about who you are and admit things to yourself.” [h/t mymodernmet.com]
