I am an International artist that lived in Beijing, Hong Kong, London and U.S.. My art is a reflection of my identity; it contains the elements of both East and West. My interests are in Nature, human and Animals. I started learning Guo hua (rice paper painting) at age of 6 with 辛鵬九– a World-renowned Lingnan style master and first pupils of Chao Shao An. My painting style is traditional “xie yi” (寫意), in which the brush strokes are expressive yet delicate and precise. ~Anita Yan WongI received my B.A. (Honors) in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and my M.F.A. and M.A. in Digital Photography and Digital Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art. What I learned in design, Photography and Digital Arts plays a key role in my art creation. My goal as an artist is to develop a new style of Guo hua that is not rushed or forced by trend, I would love to preserve the original beauty of this traditional art form, move it forward with a new style and critic thinking and re-introduce it to a new generations of International viewers.
