The mixed-media works of Faith47

South African artist, Faith47, creates works that explore the relationship between the sacred and the mundane. The artist, well-known for her graffiti art, has a new collection of mixed-media compositions filled with everyday items and symbols that have been uplifted in celebratory reverence. Through the works, the artist seeks to “disarm the strategies of global realpolitik, in order to advance the expression of personal truth. In this way, her work is both an internal and spiritual release that speaks to the complexities of the human condition, its deviant histories and existential search.”

Faith47’s latest works will be on display in a solo show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York from November 19th through December 19th, 2015. The series is titled Aqua Regalia – Chapter Two.
